Pdf Summary
A study compared complication rates and subsequent unplanned surgical procedures between two techniques for ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction (UCLR). The study found no significant difference between the techniques, when controlling for certain factors. The modified Jobe technique, which preserves the flexor pronator mass and avoids submuscular ulnar nerve transposition, had similar outcomes to the docking technique. The study had limitations in terms of study quality and inconsistent reporting of complications. Overall, surgeons can choose either technique without significantly affecting outcomes.
