LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

Determine the likely mechanism of meniscal tears associated in ACL injury and what factors may influence such meniscal tears following ACL injury.
Describe the reported rates of meniscal tears following ACL injury and their significance.
Discuss current AAOS guidelines regarding optimal timing of ACL reconstruction in order to minimize the risk of further meniscal tears or chondral injuries in the context of the emerging evidence about this controversial topic.
