Much has been learned regarding posterior shoulder instability over the recent years, including its unique differences and the fact that posterior instability may be more common than anterior instability. Further knowledge regarding posterior instability's different injury pattern, symptoms, clinical presentation, bone loss patterns, and surgical treatment and outcomes have expanded exponentially. Despite this, many patients still are not appropriately diagnosed and treated.
