Chaitu S. Malempati, MD, FAAOS completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Kentucky. He is currently on staff as an Associate Professor in the department of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of Kentucky. He also serves as the medical director and head team physician for Western Kentucky University Athletics and Western Kentucky University football. Additionally, he is committee member for the AOSSM, AANA and the SOA. For the state of Kentucky, he functions as councilor for the Southern Orthopedic Association. Also, he is a peer reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine. He has published several articles in the field of sports medicine in multiple peer-reviewed journals. Since starting practice, he has spoken at several meetings nationally and internationally on a broad range of topics related to sports medicine. Furthermore, he is highly involved in education in teaching labs and courses and speaking at roundtables and regional meetings. His practice mainly entails sports medicine with a focus on complex knee, shoulder, and elbow injuries in addition to shoulder arthroplasty.

Kevin Cronin. MD, FAAOS specializes in the comprehensive treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions, including arthritis, sports injuries, rotator cuff disease, instability, and fractures. He utilizes both operative and non-operative techniques to restore patients to top-level performance in sports, work, and everyday life activities. Dr. Cronin has a particular interest and specialized training in complex shoulder disorders, including massive rotator cuff tears, shoulder deformity, and failed previous surgery.
Dr. Cronin is an avid researcher and educator. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in international orthopedic journals, including the Journal of Shoulder & Elbow Surgery. His research has led to multiple local and national awards and Dr. Cronin was named an Orthopaedic Research All-Star by Avant-Garde Health for being in the Top 5% of all orthopaedic researchers nationally. He has been an invited speaker at local and national meetings and has authored numerous chapters in orthopedic surgery textbooks on shoulder and elbow conditions. Dr. Cronin is an active member of the American Shoulder & Elbow Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He serves as faculty at the University of South Florida College of Medicine and participates in the education of medical students, residents and fellows.

Brian R. Waterman, MD is a professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and Wake Forest School of Medicine. He is a board-certified, orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult and pediatric sports medicine, cartilage restoration and joint preservation, complex knee surgery, and shoulder and elbow care. He performed his orthopedic surgery residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center and served 13 years in the U.S. Army, earning multiple honors including the Meritorious Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal. During his fellowship training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, he served as a team physician for the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Fire (MLS), and Chicago Steel (USHL). As Chief and Fellowship Director for Sports Medicine, he is passionate about medical education and patient-centered care. He currently is a Team Physician for Wake Forest University (Baseball, Men’s and Women’s Soccer), Winston-Salem Dash (Chicago White Sox), U.S. Ski and Snowboard, and several Triad area high schools.

Kevin E. Wilk, PT, DPT, FAPTA is a licensed physical therapist with more than 41 years of clinical experience. He is a graduate of Northwestern University Medical School’s Programs in Physical Therapy and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Boston, Massachusetts.
He currently serves as Associate Clinical Director at Champion Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama, and as National Vice President of Clinical Research and Education for Select Physical Therapy. Kevin has worked side by side with Dr. James Andrews for 31 years and is the Director of Rehabilitative Research at the American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI). He also holds an appointment as Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Programs in Physical Therapy at Marquette University.
Kevin has authored over 183 peer-reviewed publications and 12 textbooks, making significant contributions to sports and orthopaedic physical therapy literature. His professional honors include induction into the Sports Physical Therapy Hall of Fame, the APTA Catherine Worthingham Fellowship, the Frank Jobe Award from Major League Baseball Team Physicians, and both the Ron Peyton Achievement Award and Education Award from the Sports Physical Therapy Academy.
Previously, Kevin served as a Rehabilitation Consultant for the Washington Redskins, the Tampa Bay Rays for 16 years, and the Chicago White Sox for three years. He continues to treat patients daily, conduct research, and lecture internationally at professional and scientific conferences.

Michael J O’Brien, MD, FAAOS, FAOA, FAANA is a Professor of Clinical Orthopaedics at Tulane University, and the Residency Program Director for the Tulane Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program. He joined the Tulane Department of Orthopaedics in 2009, after completing his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD, and Shoulder & Elbow fellowship at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA.
He is an Active Member of the American Shoulder & Elbow Surgeons (ASES), the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), and the Association of Clinical Elbow and Shoulder Surgeons (ACESS). He serves on the Board of Directors for AANA and the Southern Orthopaedic Association. He is a team physician for Tulane University athletics and Brother Martin high school in New Orleans. He treats all conditions in the shoulder and elbow. He lectures and teaches courses nationally and internationally and has published numerous articles on shoulder and elbow topics. He lives in New Orleans with his wife and two daughters.
