  • Determine the safety of blood flow restriction training in a clinical population.
  • Identify the clinical populations that are associated with safe use of blood flow restriction.
  • Discuss future directions in BFRT research to continue assessing safety in musculoskeletal populations.
  • Describe the recommended guidelines for application of blood flow restriction training and how they are associated with fewer adverse events.
