How to Review a Large Database Study

This 30-minute presentation is a recorded capture from Reviewer Workshop on July 14, 2022 in Colorado Springs, CO at the AOSSM Annual Meeting.

The learning objectives follow:

•       To review the definition, strengths, and limitations of a large database study.

•       To entertain the influence of the numerators and denominators that authors choose to study.

•       To briefly explore statistical issues, including the confidence intervals of rates (because negative rates do not make sense) and simultaneous testing of multiple hypotheses.
