Research is an integral part of your practice and may even be an expectation of your institution. Focused programs of research are increasingly a primary part of orthopaedic practice. The AOSSM Research Committee presents a 75-minute research workshop focused on developing and refining your research program in early- and mid-career and in a variety of practice settings (e.g., academic, health care system, private practice, military, etc.). Through a panel discussion and small group discussion with successful AOSSM member scientists, we will highlight considerations such as assembling a collaborative multidisciplinary team, management of your team and infrastructure considerations for your project, selecting appropriate outcome measures, securing funding for your work, and getting involved in research through AOSSM.
