Erica Kholinne, MD, PhD, is a shoulder and elbow orthopaedic surgeon based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, she has completed dual fellowships in Sports Medicine and Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, with a clinical focus on minimally invasive techniques for shoulder and elbow conditions. 

Dr. Kholinne embarked on her medical education at Trisakti University in 2001, followed by an orthopaedic residency at the University of Indonesia from 2010 to 2015. She further enriched her expertise with an elective in Sports Medicine at National University Hospital in Singapore, which transitioned into her fellowship program. She then pursued a specialized Shoulder and Elbow Surgery fellowship at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea, under the mentorship of Prof. In-Ho Jeon from 2016 to 2019. In 2019, she earned her PhD in medicine from the University of Ulsan, South Korea, focusing on shoulder and elbow research from basic science to clinical applications. 

Dr. Kholinne is an active faculty member of the Indonesian Orthopedic Society for Sport Medicine and Arthroscopy (IOSSMA) and the Indonesian Shoulder and Elbow Society (INASES). In 2020, she received the International Education Scholarship from AANA and was named an AOSSM-APKASS traveling fellow. 

With over 120 published articles, Dr. Kholinne is a sought-after reviewer for prestigious journals including The American Journal of Sports Medicine, The Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and The Lancet Rheumatology. She holds editorial positions on the AJSM board, as the corresponding editor for the Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery, and as an Associate Editor for The Journal of Indonesian Orthopaedic & Traumatology.

Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo is a Consultant in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic and a Professor at Mayo College of Medicine. He serves as Division Chair of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and has received several awards, including the Mayo Clinic Teacher of the Year Award on two occasions, as well as other prestigious honors.

Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo graduated as a Medical Doctor from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and obtained the #1 position in the Spanish National Exam for Medical Graduates. Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo completed his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Hospital Universitario La Paz and his PhD Program at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. He was then selected for a fellowship position at Mayo Clinic and completed a two-year program in adult reconstruction. 

Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo has published over 450 articles in peer-reviewed literature and co-edited the widely read textbook "The Elbow and Its Disorders."  He is also actively engaged in various courses related to elbow and shoulder surgery including serving as course co-director for the Mayo Clinic's annual elbow course "Teach the Teachers."

Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo served as Board Member at large for the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), and was also recently selected as ASES Vice-President. He also serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (JSES) and has served as associated editor for the Journal of Orthopedic Trauma (JOT).  

 
 


Dr. Clara Wong Wing-yee, FHKCOS, FRCSEd(Orth), FHKAM (Orth Surg), MRCS, MBChB, is a Clinical Professional Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (O&T) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Associate Professor of Practice in O&T of CUHK, Adjunct Associate Professor at the HK Polytechnic University, Honorary Consultant in the Department of O&T at Prince of Wales Hospital. Additionally, and Chief of the Hand, Wrist, Elbow & Microsurgery Centre at CUHK Medical Centre.

Dr. Wong graduated from CUHK Medicine in 1999, was awarded Gold Medal Award by HK College of Orthopaedic Surgeons and offered to start a specialist career in the Department of O&T of CUHK in 2007.  She is known for her subspecialty in hand, wrist, and elbow surgeries, microvascular surgeries, congenital upper limb and nerve surgeries, with a particular interest in elbow diseases, and has been appointed to provide treatment to professional athletes in HK for over a decade.  She is dedicated to education locally and internationally.  She was honoured with the Best Teacher Award from the Faculty of Medicine at CUHK in 2021.  

Dr. Wong has been invited to contribute in 20 book chapters, deliver hundreds of lectures at local and international academic conferences, organize academic workshops, and publish over 100 articles for local communities.  She has more than 60 peer-reviewed publications, serves as an associate editor for 2 and reviewer for 12 international journals.  Dr. Wong has previously served as Honorary Secretary for HK Orthopaedic Association, is currently chairing the Publication Committee of APWA and a Member-at-large of APFSSH.

 



Dr. Jiuzhou Lu, MD, PhD, is a professor of the Department of Hand Surgery, Huashan Hospital Affiliated with Fudan University. he currently holds multiple key positions, including Director of the shoulder and elbow Group of Shanghai Orthopedic Association, Vice Director of the Facet Joint Fellow of the Reparative and Reconstructive Surgery Committee of CARM. 

Dr. Lu completed his undergraduate studies at Shanghai Medical University in 1994, before pursuing further education at Fudan University, where he earned his Ph.D. in 2005. His expertise lies in the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder, elbow, and wrist joint injuries and diseases. He is particularly skilled in treating complex elbow and wrist trauma, and post-trauma condition. 

To date, Dr. Lu has completed over 2,000 elbow surgeries and currently performs around 130 each month. His dedication to the field extends to mentoring and training hundreds of surgeons, making significant contributions to the development of elbow surgery. 

Prof. In-Ho Jeon, MD, PhD, is a distinguished professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Asan Medical Center, College of Medicine, University of Ulsan, in Seoul, Korea. He currently serves as the First Vice President of SICOT, associate editor of the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, Shoulder and Elbow Sectional Editor of the Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery, Immediate Past President of the APOA Hand & Upper Limb Society, and a member-at-large of APOA.  

Dr. Jeon obtained his medical degree from Kyungpook National University, where he also completed his orthopedic residency. He pursued a Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship at the University of Nottingham, UK, under the mentorship of Prof. Angus Wallace from 2002 to 2003, sponsored by the British Council. He further advanced his expertise in elbow surgery during his visit to the Mayo Clinic under the mentorship of Prof. Bernard Morrey in 2007 and 2008. 

To date, Dr. Jeon has published over 220 papers in major peer-reviewed SCI journals, contributing significantly to the fields of elbow arthroscopy, arthroplasty and basic science.
