So, for Dr. Sobov. Yes, I can hear and Emilio can hear. For Dr. Sobov, buddy, the question is, indications that you have for the patch and the balloon. I'm getting a mic. Hang on a second. I don't think you can hear me. Okay. Here we go. Can you hear me now? Yes. So, the indications for the patch are usually preoperatively poor quality tendon on the MRI scan. Most people that have a poor healing response over the course of the MRI scan will have Most people that have a poor healing response, over 60, diabetics, and then if we get in there and we do our repair and the quality of the tissue is poor, then we add a patch. You know, sometimes you get in a look in the bursa and it's just barren. It's white. There's no, doesn't look like there's any healing capabilities. And to me, the patch induces new vascularity to that area. So, that's the indications for the patch. And then the second part with the spacer is, again, it's off-label use because I don't use it unless I do a repair. So, it's a repair on a preoperatively superiorly migrated shoulder with a lot of, we use a seven-point atrophy scale, but a grade five or six atrophy of the supraspinatus where that muscle quality is poor and I need to hold the head down and make sure my anterior and posterior force couples have a biomechanical advantage. And we'll add a spacer on those particular cases. Okay. Next question. Can you hear me, bud? Yes. I think they want to go to the knees though. Okay. We need to go to the knees.
Video Summary
In this video, Dr. Sobov discusses the indications for using a patch and a spacer in surgical procedures. The patch is used when there is poor quality tendon on an MRI scan or when the tissue quality is poor during the repair. The patch helps to induce new vascularity in the affected area. The spacer is used in cases of preoperatively superiorly migrated shoulder with severe muscle atrophy to ensure proper biomechanics. The use of the spacer is considered off-label. The video then transitions to discussing knees, but no further details are provided. No credits were given.
